it was suer cute. and it took a minute to realize they were French, given all the smoking. I wasnt sure what I would be reading about, and the story was just simple and sweet. About kids falling in love and trying to fix mistakes and graduate and nothing too complex or deep or traumatizing. Its nice to read things like that sometimes.
this book was cute, and the art was amazing. however i didn’t feel like the connection between the characters was well developed. I didn’t get that feeling that i want to kick my feet and twirl my hair if you know what i mean.

Ella wakes up the night after blacking out at a house party and realizes she’s stolen a collection of items. The next day Ella’s crush, Madeline, stops by to see if she’s ok and reveals that some things were stolen from the party at her house last night.
So funny, and sweet, and real. The art style was both beautiful and had me cracking up at times. I loved that the characters were flawed, and that we got to dive into their complexities. I loved the way that everyone communicated with each other and that in the end not everything wraps up nice and neat.
My biggest gripe with graphic novels tends to be that the pacing is inconsistent or way, way too fast. This one was perfect!!! Everything flowed very well and nothing felt rushed. One thing worth mentioning- this is set in France! I was a bit thrown off while I was reading because I didn’t realize this, but once I started skimming other reviews it made much more sense.

A good read, I enjoyed myself. I especially love the colours and art of the party pages whereas some scenes with just the pink and black were less appealing. The relationship was cute and the story was fine.
