This is actually a 6 star read. I read this 700 plus page masterpiece in like 4 days. Every chance I got, I was reading this book. I loved this book so much, I am doing my second read now. 😂 From start to finish….AMAZING!!! The character development is so amazing and spot on. Like, I lowkey want to beg E.K to do a second book but she already said it wont happening the first time I messaged her. I won’t give up though lol! GIVE ME 700 MORE PAGES! PLEASE!

I disliked Demon but loved everyone else. I still don’t think he deserved her but the epilogue was cute. Smoke & Dayanna’s story was much better. Chef’s kiss.

I was definitely deterred by the name and cover of the book. Booktok showed so many people recommending this book. I said what the heck. I saw 768 pages and was like, what can she talk about for that long, and it's not a fantasy book. Baby, I was fooled by this book. It had me staying up past bedtime. I was so caught up in Damien "Demon" and Dream, I thought I was right there with them. I fell in love with their love story, and the various tropes had me yelling at Dream multiple times. Although this book was long, it was not rushed, and it was so worth reading. I need a part 2 with the way the epilogue ended.
