Remarkably engaging and written well enough that anyone could understand the concepts mentioned, apart from the last and very confusing chapter on infinity which I didn't follow at all.

Enjoyable though the more versed you are in maths the less you get from this.

Great book. Fun and interesting look at maths that should be part of school syllabus.

A light romp through the history of mathematics. I especially enjoyed the beginning, about how different the human perception of numbers can be and has been, across cultures and time. All the etymological tidbits were icing on the cake. Not as mind-blowing as, say, Gödel Escher Bach, but also not as dense or irritating. Just a fan of math demonstrating how fun math can be.

Another great book of stories about mathematics with many interviews with actually professional and amateur mathematicians.

The first couple of chapters were great, but sadly got very dull after that.

I wish I had this book when I was in school. I could've given it to my Math teacher/ teachers.

It's a must read. A fascinating journey. And it's sold as "Alex in the wonderful world of Numberland" here in India.
