loved this one! MMF, single mom, allll my boxes were checked! I wish we’d have seen more of the connection between the guys and the boys, but I really did enjoy this one. The spice in these books are also top notch.
SYNOPSIS:
Sarah is newly a single mom after the ordeal with her abusive husband: finding out he had an evil twin serial killer, etc. David was never a good guy by any means, but now she was officially out from under him. Colt has loved her since they were teenagers in high school, and he even tried to hijack her wedding to David years ago. Now, he sees a chance but doesn’t want to rush into things. Sammy Harlow, however, begins to be interested in her and asks her out one day. Colt is jealous, and realizes he’s jealous of them both. He’s starting to see Sammy in a new light, and Sammy reciprocates those interested feelings too. The three talk and decide to try a three way relationship. It works for them. Sammy’s apartment gets broken into and destroyed one day, and Sarah starts getting harassed too. It’s kind of related to David and his psycho twin. Eventually, after a few attacks and close calls, they find out the people attacking and harassing them is related to one of Thomas’s (the serial killers) victims from years ago. They set Sarah’s house on fire and attempt to kill them all. The trio and kids escape and the woman dies and the husband is arrested. We see Sammy Colt and Sarah happy, getting married and building their own perfect house.

Stolen Chances was my first read by Clio Evans. I enjoyed the story but overall felt like I was expecting and wanting more from the story for some reason. The suspense was a little underwhelming but overall I did enjoy the story. I appreciated the dynamic between Sarah, Colt, and Sammy. The found family aspect was so strong and done so well. I also love the small town “we’ve got your back” aspect as well.
Thank you to Grey’s Promotions and Clio Evans for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.
