i really enjoyed the overall premise of this book and had a pleasant time reading it. it was entertaining with a touch of suspense, which always enjoy. however i do have a couple complaints. 1- i didn’t love the pop culturey references or lingo, but i am never a fan of that in books, 2- i felt the plot being slightly all over the place but i was still able to follow what was going on for the most part, & 3- i wish there were more scenes with sarah’s kids, i always love found family
vibes and single mother vibes and even though we did get a few scenes of the boys with colt and sammy i just wish it was a bigger plot point. i will say i did love that the book focused on not only sarah’s relationship with colt and sammy but also colt and sammy’s relationship with each other outside of sarah. i didn’t read the first book in this series but it recapped everything enough that it was fine. was it perfect? no. did i enjoy it? of course

Ok I loved the found family aspect of this book and how tightly they all loved one another and I enjoyed Sarah,Sammy and Colts relationship but other than that I struggled to vibe with this book. It felt clunky and like the plot moved through things really fast. The writing was easy to get into and the book went by really fast but the story didn't flow right.
I also didn't read the first book because I didn't like the idea of reading about someone who was bullied then falling in love with said bully but because of that I didn't understand certain aspects of the story and there was stuff that was just lost on me a little bit.
