Such a crazy book this is. And good, extraordinary and good. I don't know if this is Adams' best work, but it is very entertaining, funny and witty. The plot perhaps could have been a bit tidier, it was already half way through the book when things really started to happen. But then, as it shows a little later in the story, time can be a very misleading factor...
Quirky, but Dirk seems pretty unlikeable. I wanted to like this more, but will still read the next book.

This started a little slow for me. And the pacing slowed considerably during the mathematics, physics, and music discussions. But it made me laugh several times and overall, I enjoyed it.

This is a Douglas Adams version of Sherlock Holmes, and it is absolutely delightful. My only complaint is that a lot of action takes place off-page, but the writing style made up for this for me.
I was looking forward to reading this book since I really enjoyed the tv-series about Dirk Gently and loved all the hitchhickers books. Unfortunately, it started strong but did not keep my interest. Once Dirk is introduced (about 100 pages in), he is not the loveable, naive and fun character you know from the show. And the real deal does not do it for me.
Maybe it would have been different had I not seen the show first.

Not bad, this started off good, but I'm not sure about the ending. It felt kinda rushed and messy, without being properly resolved- especially the electric monk. Amusing enough and a quick read though.

Yo lo he intentado, pero de verdad que no puedo con el estilo de este señor. La narración es una tontería tras otra hasta el punto de que cuesta saber qué narices está queriendo decir que sucede (que la mitad de las veces es nada, porque se va de la tangente y empieza a hablar de estupideces que no vienen a cuento).
No intentaré otro libro suyo; si no puedo con este (con el cariño que le tengo a la serie de Dirk Gently), no voy a poder con ninguno. No más intentos para el autoestopista, se acabó el autor para mí. Me es insoportable y tampoco me voy a torturar.
