Nothing better than a brit lit book about a woman making her own dreams happen. Enjoyed this beginning to end.

Thanks Net Galley.

This book is like a warm hug in a rainy day sitting in front of a fireplace with a tea mug.

I love that this did not end how you would expect

Randomly chose this book from Kindle Unlimited and really enjoyed the straightforwardness of getting pregnant and ending a relationship. It wasn’t too emotional and the characters seemed realistic and relatable.

I loved this book! I've never read anything centered around pregnancy, and wondered since I don't want kids whether I'd relate to it. I thought the main character's journey was interesting and I enjoyed every moment.

Favorite passage:

"Or does it go even further than that? To the time I’d been told I was too much and felt like I needed to keep myself smaller than everyone else? Maybe, everything would be different if I’d have made different choices. Or, to be more accurate, if I’d have made a choice and stuck to it, instead of simply going along with things. If I’d actively said yes, I want this, or no, I don’t want that. If I’d let myself take up space."

This was good. A story about finding yourself in the midst of a major life change. Realizing that maybe you aren’t the person that you thought you were. Being forced to face some hard truths. A bit light and fluffy since things seem to work out pretty easily for our heroine, but feeling her pain as she relives some hard memories. And also a slow burn of a love story. Overall I enjoyed it.

Not sure how I stumbled upon this book, but I'm glad I did. I had never heard of the author, but the premise sounded good and there were lots of good reviews, so I thought 'why not?' This was a really good read. Zoe put her foot down and her happiness first, and discovered that sometimes you absolutely should go home again. I didn't initially realize that the story was set in London, but that really added to its charm. So happy I took a chance on this one!
