It took me forever to read this. It's not a really horrible book, but there's way too much detail about everything.

It was okay. Not the best book I've ever read but mildly interesting. I felt like a lot of it was "filler" to make it the length of a book. Parts were downright boring. I expected more from this author.

2.5 stars - I chose this book after taking a romance genre quiz and discovering that I liked cabin romances. This book was highly rated, people seemed to enjoy this author, and the plot sounded exciting so I chose it. However, I wish I had read some of the reviews first! Despite the plot, and I'm glad I'm not the only one here who thinks this, it was boring! Ploddingly slow boring details about the bear, the killer, the landscape, and the weather. I tried to skim over those parts but it didn't leave much left of the book. Also, something else that really bugged me is that they didn't have sex until about 75% through the novel. Perhaps if there had been more excitement/sex earlier it would have made all those aforementioned details more tolerable. One last thing: part of the reason why Angie wouldn't have sex for forever was because she insisted in being in love first, which is obviously going to take a while in these cabin romances, especially with two people who start out hating each other. Is this a particular hangup or theme for this author?

I love how her books never fail to make me laugh even while there is a killer on the loose as well as a crazy bear!

It was a good enough book but it did irritate me when the narrator mispronounced the name of the city Spokane.

This was a good read!! Better than I thought it was going to be. Besides the HEA, there was humor in it, that I loved! The character Dare Callahan was definitely funny, and made me lol quite a few times. His rugged personality, avid swearing, & raspy voice definitely made me love him from the start. I also liked the fact that [a:Linda Howard|16961|Linda Howard|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1238749914p2/16961.jpg] made Angie's character strong, yet vulnerable. Also, making her thinking "real" showing what many women also think & fear about themselves, relationships, emotions, & sex. Oddly enough it was my first time reading [a:Linda Howard|16961|Linda Howard|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1238749914p2/16961.jpg] but definitely will not be my last!
