Vale, pues no, oye. Esto no es para mí. Me gusta la poesía, pero Neruda se me ha hecho bola. Soy de una poesía más contemporánea, más directa. Esto yo no lo he entendido... Será estupendo pero yo no lo he pillado. El poema número 20 me ha gustado bastante más que el resto... Eso sí.

Neruda's poems are always lovely, but I can't say I loved this book.
The symbolism and all the imagery connected to Nature didn't quite entrance me and that's what I expect from poetry. To make me rise above all else and have me soaring in another plane of existence.
I much prefer surrealism. That sure makes me dream like nothing else.
But I do love the 20th poem of the book - "Puedo Escribir" (Tonight I Can Write).
There are few topics that cause more feeling than lost love, don't you think?

the metaphors in here were really good and 2 poems really stood out to me: 16 and 20. While I think the poems are really well written I can’t give this more than a 3 because it personally not my cup of tea
