This was a cute paranormal rom-com! The narration was great too, the narrator did a good job with voices and the POV splits. The chemistry between the pairing was really good and the supporting characters were fantastic. I don’t usually like the fake relationship to real feels trope but this situation & pairing made it work. Their history, the “prima” stuff, and the true mate destiny stuff made it work too, I wasn’t rolling my eyes at the cliches and it felt believable.
I loved how altruistic Thorne was, he was a true alpha-roll (cinnamon roll alpha) and he didn’t use his power or position to intimidate, he genuinely wanted to make things better for all supes. Vi had similar aspirations and even though she had resigned herself to being a dud while her sister took the spotlight, she was helping change the lives of kids at the center and touching every heart she met. But they weren’t pretentious about it, which is a pitfall authors tend to fall into when they try to make their characters TOO good. They had faults and weaknesses and were just people too.
The spice level on this was more than I expected; there are some open-door spicy scenes that I hadn’t anticipated but appreciated. Tasteful, great banter, but not pearl-clutchingly chaste lol. From the cover and the reviews I was expecting a dreaded “clean” (I hate that word) romance.
I’ll probably pick up the next one when I need another break from the heavier stuff.

I really enjoyed Violet! And her magic!! This was both a fun adventure and sweet. Cant wait to read the next in the series!!
Loved the world. Loved the types of characters. I wasn’t the biggest fan on their personalities or the dialogue.
