3.75 definitely my favorite book of the spooky season this year
I was a bit turned off from this book at the start. With lines like ,"Son of a witch's tit" and "Fuddy-dud".... like why? What am I getting into? But the book wasn't all that bad, and those types of lines weren't used much. But I did hate that Lincoln always called Violet princess. It sounded condescending whenever he used it.
My favorite thing about the book was the development of Violet's magic. But it was pretty predictable that Lincoln was her true mate.
Overall, it was a nice, fun, little book. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series.

Very good, supernatural rom-com! Definitely going to be reading the other books in the series!
This was very cute but the plot felt lackluster. I loved Violet and her inner circle, especially her grandma; however, I felt like the plot was an afterthought sometimes, and it was just there to keep the story and romance going. I also felt like the story was full of romance cliches and nothing original, some people love that and to an extent I do, but for a book like that to blow me away I need a captivating plot.
This book was so fun and exactly what I wanted to read. I was in the mood for some clever banter and a fun Halloween book and this so delivered. The characters are a blast and not only was I in invested in the main couple but now I can't wait to read more about Olive someday. Looking forward to the second book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this, new to me, shifter-verse! The characters are funny and fighting for a better world, one where regardless of status everyone has a say and is taken care of. Quite lovely really! How do I get hired to work alongside these folx because I'm there!!

Linc and Vi’s romance was a fun witty read. I enjoyed the childhood crush but wrong timing trope. I also enjoyed the world building and over all premise of the story.
Vi doesn’t have magic until a certain shifter shows up. Then her magic seems to go haywire. It was fun watching her learn how to control her magic. I also enjoyed the witty banter between her and Linc. I do wish we got to see her interact with Linc’s pack. I also thought it was interesting that Linc commented on the true mates option but Vi didn’t really touch on it.
Linc was a fun male character. I enjoyed seeing the possessiveness of the alpha and seeing him and Vi go at it. I do wish we got to see him running the pack. And more flashbacks to when him and Vi were children. I felt like part of the story was telling us rather than showing.
Overall I really enjoyed this rom com. It was witty and cute. I loved the premise of it and enjoyed seeing Linc and Vi find their love story. Looking forward to Ro’s story!

It was initially tough for me getting dropped into this world but by the end of the first chapter I was into this light and funny rom com. Violet is a loyal sister and friend. I loved seeing her relationships with her sisters and friends. Lincoln is my kind of Alpha, hot, loyal, a fighter of the patriarchy. While the flirting and build up of the romance is hot and horny, Asher doesn’t linger on the actual act. I’m okay with it but I wanted more. Not necessarily a bad thing, I was just expecting more. Some plot points got resolved too quickly and neatly but I’m excited to crack into the rest of the series immediately.
