I enjoyed the book. We got to see a lot of Violet and her growth. I wish we'd gotten more insight into Linc and his growth.

This was just ok for me. The characters were fun and it was an interesting world, but we were just tossed right into this world with little explanation... I liked the backstory of the lovebirds, but felt like their connection could have been more established. Was still invested in their story, just not a page-turner.

Thought I’d read a fun lil romcom to get out of my reading slump but this was too cringe to be fun. The non-word “snortle” is written at least 5 times. There’s witch-themed swears constantly. Just say “fuck” PLEASE.

FMC has to get witch married in 3 months and MMC has to get wolf married in 1 month, so they fake date to prove to some supernatural board of directors they’re working on it. But they agree to be monogamous during the fake dating, and don’t work toward resolving the issue before the deadlines whatsoever. Cooked from the start. My first time hitting a 2x on an audiobook.

DNF 20%. I have had this book for over a year. I have started it on three different occasions and it just has not spoken to me. After one last try I'm giving up. There is nothing objectionable to the book, it just isn't clicking for me. I don't know if its the supernatural elements, the writing style, or the characters, but I can't get into it.

This was actually a super cute listen. Is it 4 stars cause it’s actually really good? Or is the fact that my last few audio books were just bleh and I pictured Michele Morrone as the MMC in this. We’ll never know for sure.

It was exactly what I was looking for in a supernatural romance. I had some small issues with the pacing of the ending.

This book is SO cute. The perfect witchy romcom with a unique cast of characters. I liked the alternating narratives of Vi and Linc- both of their voices were fun and endearing. I felt a connection to the Maxwell sisters and I really enjoyed VI’s friends and bar life. And the steamy scenes were TOP NOTCH. Highly recommend to witch/supernatural fans. I’ll definitely be reading the next in the series.

3.5 stars rounded up: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The synopsis seems very cheesy, but I truly enjoyed it. I mean it was a paranormal fake dating trope. What more could I have asked for?

This was so boring. I couldn't make myself care about the main characters at allll.
