Not the Witch You Wed

I did not know what to expect with this, but I'm happy I trusted the booktoker who recommended it. This was such a cute story, with great world building and relationship progression. I loved that the world felt established but was still easily understandable, and the plus size witch was adorable. I feel like sometimes fat rep in romance books can be either a bit sad/insecure or over the top, and though it was mentioned that she was a larger girl, it wasn't her whole personality. This is childhood friends/lovers second chance romance with an added dash of fake dating. Recommended for fans of the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross and The Fix It Witches by Ann Aguirre 4.5⭐

The first couple chapters throw way too much backstory at you at once, and it has every rom-com cliche imaginable, but I couldn't put it down.

Cute, bantery, quick read. Not terribly deep, but that's okay.

I really enjoyed this one! Violet and Lincoln both need to find mates , so they agree to fake date to give themselves time, but of course it’s not fake from the beginning. Second-chance romance, happy ever after, love it!

This book is an October 4 and a rest-of-the-year 2. Silly and fall and magical fun

Dnf at 56%… would have stopped after the first chapter if I weren’t trying to read it for book club. The writing is just so cringe. Some other reviews are spot on in saying it feels like a man writing women, even though the author is a woman
