A queer narrative, but from the perspective of a toxic relationship. After all, there are toxic queer relationships and people who make others feel terrible and others do bad things. Laura Dean, for the record, is maybe the Queer character that I have utterly disliked more than any other. She's truly awful but that's kind of the point. I love that there are sub-narratives that we don't always get to witness because our main character is so wrapped up in Laura Dean's business and toxicity that we can't even see the things she is missing out on. The rest of the cast is excellent, fantastic of course and this is, well, a really good comic. It feels good, rapturous, and is a narrative absolutely worth telling for anyone who feels trapped in love. Absolutely incredible, definitely a growing favorite.

I can certainly appreciate a look at the harsh truths of toxic relationships and getting caught in a cycle that isn’t healthy, but the characters never came to life for me. I didn’t care for any of them until the rift with Doodle and Freddy became the focus.

Really beautiful spreads with a limited palette, I think it's refreshing as equally frustrating how Freddy constantly gets in her own way. The twist of this book was not one I was expecting at all, and I wish I saw and hung out more with these characters. I enjoyed it!
