This is a book I wish I had been able to read in college. When you're young, you want to believe it will work out when things are "complicated" but most often you just need to hear the overarching message of this book: don't waste your time with people who drain you of your essence, be with people who make you a better you.

this graphic novel is making my blood boil every time. the illustrations are top-notch but the toxicity is not. I know the title says so. The part that i like was the ending. :)

A masterpiece of the comic book medium. So clear and understandable, yet layered with subtext and intrigue. Every character is memorable and identifiable, the tone and pacing are perfectly in the middle between too much and too little, able to be just enough. And of course, the wonderful blend of art and writing to create sequences and moments impossible with either alone. This is why I love comics.

Valde denna boken från bibblan för jag tycke jag läste för mycket gayskit så tänkte läsa något hetro för en gångs skull. Min chock när jag fick veta att den faktiskt inte va hetero. Skitfina illustrationer med fantastiskt detalj och färger. Karaktärerna är komplicerade och realistiska. Bra drama, bra story, fina bilder- helt enkelt en mysig liden boewk.
5 stars for the beautiful art, which is mainly why I checked this out. The story is not bad either, though I had to read it twice for it to make sense and be forewarned that it gets into some heavier topics. Overall though, it was a fun quick read. I laughed at some of the things Freddie said in the book, especially to her advice columnist.
