On the higher end of how I’d rank the first 5 Christie novels. The beginning was pretty slow and introduced a ton of characters. I started to enjoy the story more after the first 11-12 chapters and was somewhat fooled by the murderer twist.

6.5/10 ★

This book felt a little long to me, maybe because I was listening to an audiobook for like two months? Even then, it still chewed me up and crushed my heart. I fell in love with the characters and their confusion and lies hurt me. I get the ending, but man I didn't want that.

I will never be able to review this gem of a lady's works.

Simply mind-boggling.

How she manages to make a fool of me, every single time.

An absolutely fantastic read.

Not my favourite Christie novel, but certainly not my least either.

The story doesn't really start until about a third of the way in, and it didn't feel particularly gripping until I was 50% through. Once it got going though, it was interesting enough to keep me hooked. A bit convoluted, but overall a pleasant enough read.
