the first half was interesting and i was excited to pick the book up but the second half of the book felt flat. i did not like the mystery or the romance (spoiler ig?: they were literally half siblings, also it felt like the author forced the MMC to be all ‘morally grey’ and ‘dark’ but rather from the author telling us i didn’t see those character traits tbh). but it was still a fun read and i liked most of the side characters
