This was an interesting read. I'd always heard about the blue zones, but have never delved into any sort of research or anything beyond small pieces of information. Dan Buettner offers us insight into these blue zones and how they live their life in order to maintain happiness and longevity. Based on his research, he posits that intentionality, exercising, maintaining deep friendships, and having a sense of purpose and pleasure all work together to create a meaningful, and therefore long, life.

Easy and fun to read and packed with his research.

I did not think I would enjoy this book that much… I picked it up literally because it was a book in our house that I had not read. I’m glad I did- it’s really making me think how I can bolster more happiness within my locus of control.
