The follow-up to the inaugural Discworld book improves on the first in nearly every way. With witty and intelligent prose, a break-neck pace, and a solid cast of characters, this proves a much better read than The Color of Magic.
- “The important thing about having lots of things to remember is that you’ve got to go somewhere afterwards where you can remember them, you see? You’ve got to stop. You haven’t really been anywhere until you’ve got back home.”
- “Unseen University had never admitted women, muttering something about problems with the plumbing, but the real reason was an unspoken dread that if women were allowed to mess around with magic they would probably be embarrassingly good at it…”
- “...All the shops have been smashed open. There was a whole bunch of people across the street helping themselves to musical instruments, can you believe that?"
"Yeah," said Rincewind. "...Luters, I expect.”

There was definitely way more structure to this than TCOM which seemed more like an anthology. This was a whole lot of adventure in a lot of different settings but it did ultimately lead in one linear direction which I liked.
I LOVE Death as a character. I hope I love him more in Mort.
Also, how is it the last four pages got to me!
Seriously Two-Flower like WHAT! Such a nice character!!!

Ciekawa kontynuacja przygód maga i turysty z pierwszego tomu. Uzupełnienie i zakończenie przygód podróżniczego duetu (z bagażem doświadczeń i nie tylko).
