No, no no. If you have read Fourth Wing...leave it there. The plot felt rushed. It felt like the characters were set back and that the maturity wasn't all there. I'm not even sure I am going to read the next book.

I didn't love this book as much as the first, but I feel like this book sets up what will be the rest of the series. I CANNOT wait for what comes next. A+ writing, and I had to jump RIGHT into this after finishing Fourth wing. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend having this book on hand ready to read as soon as you finish Fourth Wing. I loved the character development and relationship developments between them. Only downside is there isn't another one to read yet.

I love Violet and Xaden. Tbh I don’t get annoyed by their relationship because I think there are so many real aspects to it. The emotions on this book are great. The jealousy, the mistrust in the relationship - it kept me reading. Ugh I don’t like how the next book isn’t out. That means I have to wait like an entire year to get my questions answered …..
