Caught between duty and desire, Chi must choose between the life planned for her or the possibility of a future with Andy. Their growing feelings threaten to upend both of their destinies in this tale of love, loyalty, and fate.

Book Review:
I absolutely enjoyed this book, even though the cliffhanger left me frustrated! Chi Yan, heir to a Yakuza empire, and her bodyguard, Andy Scutari, create an intense, slow-burn romance. The author masterfully blends duty, honor, and personal desire, drawing out emotional tension as Chi battles tradition and Andy wrestles with his growing obsession. The characters are complex, and their chemistry makes the story hard to put down. Be prepared to dive into the second book, as the ending will leave you craving more. Perfect for fans of romance with action, drama, and complicated choices.

This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. However, I am fully aware that this book is infact a spin off, so I will be reading the others because this book has left me curious

This narrative revolves around Chi and Andy, collectively referred to as Chandy. Their tale may not unfold as rapidly as that of Cas and Mara, yet the intensity of the action is undeniable. There is a sense that their story holds deeper layers, and if it mirrors the initial segment, it is bound to shatter my heart before gradually mending it. They entered this arrangement with the understanding that it would remain purely transactional. The question remains: will Chi adhere to the anticipated boundaries, or will love triumph? The resolution awaits, but the journey promises to be captivating.

This was such a great and quick read! It kept my attention during the entire book and made me second guess what was going to happen next. I can’t wait to read the second one when it comes out and to see where Chi and Andy’s story goes.

My very first book of Christina's, and I've got to say, WOW.

While I was well aware I was reading a spin-off before I started, I think the story unravelled beautifully, and I was able to piece the details together. Of course, it only made me MORE curious about the base series. So :D Here I come. (Blushing, hiding in a corner)

Chi and Andy put me through the ringer. My Kindle was in danger of flying out the window more than once. I LOVE a strong heroine and Chi has ticked ALL the boxes for me.

Christina has such a way of drawing you into the story without even realising. Definitely recommend and can't wait to see what's next in store. Especially with THAT ending. (Yes, I'm looking at you).

Loved seeing Chi and Andy's story. This was a fast paced and spicy mafia romance, with a great plot, and exploring Chi's conflicts of power, culture, and duties to her father and family legacy as Yakuza heir, against her desires for her guard.
The spicy scenes explored a lot of kinks, and the role playing was entertaining.
Ends with a cliffhanger, excited to see more from Andy and Chi, on their path of vengeance.

Book one of the Denial and Defiance series is sad but beautiful. Wishing for a HEA for Chi and Andy in book 2. Their live story is hard but hopefully worth it.

Please check the Trigger Warnings because this is a dark mafia book. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. It does end on a cliffhanger so hold on and enjoy the ride. We have gotten to see these characters from the "Devils Dominion" series and I am so happy they got their own storyline. Every woman needs to experience a man like Andy in my opinion. He is so deliciously controlling in the bed. Can't wait to finish this series.

PLOT. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SPICE.

The Queen's Denial was fast-paced, with so many plot twists, spice for days, insane chemistry and so much more. I LOVED every minute of Andy and Chi's story. Andy is always looking out for her (like her own personal guard), but Chi is so feisty and wants to do what she wants to do, and don't like to be told no. She can come off a bit bratty, but I loved how sassy she was and so strong-minded as the female lead character. Her inner thoughts made me LOL so much.

The spice was a 5/5. So many smutty scenes that had my jaw on the floor. Their chemistry was obvious and made for some DELICIOUS spicy scenes. Andy was by far, my favorite character of Christina's mafia world. He truly cared and wanted what was best for her, even if it couldn't be him. Their unconventional pairing reminded me a lot of Romeo and Juliet. Star-crossed lovers that had a forbidden love. Chi's dad wasn't a fan, but I'm rooting for these 2 HARD. It was so fast paced, I finished it within a few hours. The action scenes were so good! BUT THAT CLIFFHANGER?!!!!
THREW MY WHOLE DAMN KINDLE. Christina is the queen of them and I was not prepared for that ending AT ALL. So many questions of where this duet will go! 5/5 recommend for those loving mafia romances with all the spice and action!

It was a slow start for me. I like the story, I was entertained but I just could not get into it. But it did start picking up closer to the end and it has me looking forward to book 2.
