I picked up this book because of Bookstagram, and it breaks my heart to say that this was something I struggled to finish.
I absolutely love the Mafia Alpha Male Dark Romance Trope, but this book was very rushed and left me with a lot of unanswered questions. I don't want to give spoilers, but the timing of a lot of incidents just seemed very convenient, and initially I had a theory that Leo had a say in those matters, but it turns out he didn't. Also, there is so little information regarding the characters and their work or relationships, or the fact that so many names were dropped but we don't know who they are or what their purpose is. What was that ending? Honestly, I am very disappointed.
If someone wants to check off their book goal or wants an easy book to read for an hour, you can pick this up, but honestly, I have read better books on Wattpad.
I believe this is the first book of a series, but after reading this, I do not think I will be picking those up.

At first I HATED Leo! And I am so proud of Katie for always standing up for herself! I was so nervous for Marco even though he was a dick sometimes when he got hurt. I LOVED the end when Leo went back to his old self!

The story was an interesting concept, and one of my first mafia reads. I walked away with many highlights and pieces that I liked, but ultimately the amount of grammar issues and spelling errors were too many for me to rate highly. At times, even the main characters names were incorrectly spelled. I think the raw material here is good, but another once over from the publishing company and re-launch would do wonders for this one.

Quick read, not my cup of tea. I enjoyed it, but was not the calibre of books I usually read. I felt there were just too many plot holes and the story felt rushed. The premise of it was great, but just needed it to be better.
