I'm gonna be honest. Both main characters annoyed me so much. Thea should've been honest with Logan with why she didn't want to move to New York. Whenever that subject was talked about, she kept saying no and wouldn't answer him when he asked her why. Logan was too focused on solving the problems to even really listen to her. I know he had the best intentions, but sometimes you gotta think about how you handle things. I feel like they were too immature about a lot of things. There was too much push and pull. Whenever I think they finally took a step forward, they went back 10 steps. It happened too many times.

Also, I didn't like how they immediately acted upon their feelings for one another. Look, I love to read insta-love stories, but I feel like it didn't suit this story. Idk how to explain it, but it was just a weirdly written, I guess.

I do love the way Logan immediately fell in love with his daughter and really tried his best to get to know her. I was so glad that he didn't try to change his daughter and just embraced her wild nature. She was such a sweetheart. I was also very happy that Thea didn't want to keep Charlie away from Logan.

I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't like this book because I had already read Juniper Hill, and i loved it. So I had some kind of hope that her other book would also be fun to read but not this one. I do want to read the rest of the series of Juniper Hill.

I don't love the secret baby trope but it was done really well here! I loved all the characters and the romance between Thea and Logan was so sweet! How Logan acted with Charlie was heartwarming and the build of their relationship was everything! Honestly, everything Logan did for his girls was swoony!

The only issue I had with the book was the stalker subplot that came in like half way through I thought it was kinda random and wasn't flushed out enough to add anything to the story.

It was sweet. Very predictable. The end ‘drama’ didn’t really make sense and the romance was definitely the main premise.

This book was great. I feel like the stalker part of it was just added in to make it feel like there was more to it though. I could of done without the stalking part. The book was amazing without it and I can’t wait to continue on with the next book in the series.

A quick fun dip into Lark Cove in Montana. I really enjoyed this novel! It was engaging the dynamics between Thesa and Logan were sparkly and realistic. I would have give this novel 5 stars if it were a wee bit longer. I don't think the ending was particularly rushed, but it was have been interesting to investigate and witness (rather then be 'told) how Thesa made peace with her past, or even how things panned out with Logan's family.

I look forward to reading the next book, Willa and Jackson's story (even though Jackson's debut in this novel wasn't very 'appetising' shall we say...) soon ;) x
