Dieses Buch hat mich von der ersten Seite an gefesselt, und das, obwohl ich normalerweise eigentlich überhaupt nicht gerne Charakter-fokussierte Bücher lese. Aber hier hat mich die düstere Atmosphäre unglaublich gepackt. Obwohl das Buch sehr deprimierend ist, fand ich es faszinierend, die beiden unter Hunger leidenden Protagonisten bei ihrem Überlebenskampf zu begleiten. 
Eine beeindruckende Geschichte. Das gewisse Etwas hat für 5 Sterne aber noch gefehlt.
