A great holiday read as very fast paced and felt the characters had a lot of depth and good arcs.
I felt each summer felt more like a brief journal entry and would have liked to have spent longer in the past and the future!

My book club read this love story this month. We had mixed feelings about it during our book club discussion, which always makes for the best meetings! Lots to talk about.
Personally, I found it an easy read but didn't completely love it. The setting was perfect, and I enjoyed the format of the storytelling. Some of the female main character's choices irked me, although having her life upended so terribly in her early 20s explained a lot of that. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Liv's sculpture work and liked how she spent tourist season working in the restaurant to pay for her artistic time the rest of the year. And hands-down, her brother Michael was a great character! I love how he changed her perspective about who was taking care of whom!
Two great lines from her two loves:
"If you were a book, I'd highlight half your lines." -Finn
"When I say something, I tend to mean it. You don't need to doubt me. " -Tom
