There has NEVER been a bad Spy School book. It has been so much fun to reread the series and get to the books that I’ve never read before! At Sea was a perfect edition of everything I love about the series. The action was great as always, and the setting really switched things up for the plot!
Ben’s near death experience was so well written and made such a difference for this book. As this book is middle-grade, it makes sense that the characters always make it out alive, but this close call made the book so emotional and added to the drama. Erica’s and Catherine’s reactions were so important, and seeing Mike drop everything to save Ben was the best. And the Erica and Ben moment at the end of the book was incredible. I love these characters so much.
I love these books so much and I am just so grateful that this story has been written. It is so so good.

There’s not much to say-it’s really good. This series is just very fast paced and fun to read!

Why do i still like this stuff? been reading i since I was 12

My inner 12-year-old loves these books, and this may be the best one yet in a fun series. Ben Ripley gets sent on a mission with Erica, Catherine, Alexander, and Mike, who all pretend to be a family going on the biggest cruise ship ever built... to catch a baddie that they've thwarted a few times before, and figure out what his nefarious plot is. Oh, and of course to stop it. And avoid getting killed, as many times as necessary. This book is absolutely action-packed, has fun settings, appropriately too much food, and some interesting new side characters - as well as occasional pop-in visits from familiar folks from the earlier books. Somebody really needs to start making these into action movies.

Spy School at Sea

Always gotta love a Ben Ripley Spy School novel -- this one was no different. Well-written, easy to read. I read it this morning at breakfast and afterwards on the couch... Took no more than an hour and a half and was quite enjoyable. I love this series and its plotlines. They're predictable and corny in some ways, but always so, so good. Recommend for sure
