The description made it out to be more supernatural than it actually was. Still a good read, but different from what I expected.

2.5 stars. This gives Wattpad vibes. And the story is boring. I'm not even sure if there even was a story.

This is definitely the perfect book for this time of year! I don't think I've ever read a more autumn-y book.

I thought the haunted house would play a bigger part in the story, if I'm honest! This is more about the ways family can hurt and heal each other, and the importance of friends old and new in our lives. The ghosts and haunting do play a small part, but not as much as I thought it would.

This book has such cosy vibes, though! I wanted to be wrapped in a scarf, sitting in a steamy window, with a hot drink (it feels like a pumpkin spice book, but I'm not very fond of that flavour.) It definitely has that feeling, so if you're looking for something cosy and heartwarming, this is the book for you.

I can't wait to start sharing this with other readers!

the found family trope and the romance in this book were so amazingly written i flied trough it in two nights.

i was so immersed in that universe that at some point during the day i reckoned something from this book actually happened a few days prior, and when i wasnt reading and i thought about the plot and the events i always had a feeling i was watching a tv show because of the descriptions and perfectly executed detail writing. if someone looked at me, i can’t believe they thought i was staring at some pages. in my mind i was so sure i was in a completely different world, having the sensation of watching the actions of the book unfold right in front of my eyes, as if i were in that space.

the characters all had great and defined personalities and i loved that i never saw one of them as an extension of another. i didnt see the love interest just the love interest. the whole friend group had different backgrounds, ideals, morals and temperaments but still managed to create this amazing dynamic between them.

the family also played an important part in the relationships of the characters, they were brought up a lot and not only that, but, again, portrayed personalities of their own. the parents, and especially the main characters sister who i admired throughout the whole book for her determination, made the puzzle complete.

i am so upset i didnt start reading this way sooner, but i am glad i picked this book to get me out of my reading slump. and i have a feeling it will be a top comfort read for some time

An easy autumnal read. I liked the characters and the storyline was pretty good.
