What a beautiful book! There is no love story here but it is about love and care that go beyond one's ability to remember and recognize. The character of the professor here is one of the most lovable characters I have ever encounteredin a novel. And I never thought math can be that intriguing and mysterious. Highly recomend!

It wrenched my heart but it’s one of the best Japanese literature books I’ve ever read (maybe Yoko Ogawa isn’t that far from becoming my favourite Asian lit genre author) I also loved The Memory Police, and this is basically like A beautiful Mind but with Amnesia not Schizophrenia, and it captures pure human emotions so beautifully it’s no exaggeration when I say it’s definitely my favourite general lit read of the year so far

A wonderful book about humanity and friendship. I loved the characters and how they related to each other, even though they had little in common at the beginning. The housekeeper finding beauty in mathematics really got to me, and as a lover of maths, this really drew me in.

I did get a little confused over the baseball references, but I enjoyed the book nonetheless.

A wonderful book about finding the beauty in life.

A favourite quote "His joy had little to do with the difficulty of the problem. Simple or hard, the pleasure was in sharing it with us"

I think this will stick with me for a while.
