10/10 do not recommend this book. I listens to this book as an audible and I am so mad I paid for this. I had high hopes it was written by a pair of authors I love and narrated by a pair I enjoy. However this book is not something I recommend. I enjoy and read a lot of reverse harems and dark themes is something I am used to and I enjoy. This book however is to far to much. This books has actual sexual assault and revenge porn in it and that is where I couldn’t continue. It is literally children and a teacher. For me this book was to much and too far. I don’t recommend people read this book at all.

Did not get into caring about any of the characters, and also when we hit the perspective of the gym teacher, his thoughts about all of the students were just gross and dehumanizing.

This book sucks you in from page 1.
The Night Keepers, Saint, Blake, and Kyan have ruled over every man woman and child at Everlake Prep for 3 years with an iron fist, including punishments for acting out.
At the start of senior year, here comes Tatum. She's confident in herself. She's confident in her sexuality. She is honest and brave and says what she means. And she has brass balls to back it up.
News comes out that links Tatum to the virus outbreak, and the Night Keepers take it upon themselves to punish her for what they believe is her role in the spread of the disease. They try and manipulate her and force her to do their will with some very serious bullying, so serious, I actually cried for Tatum in the middle of the book while she was going through it. But she's a fighter and doesn't go down easy and not without swinging.
The book ends on a cliffhanger, so I'm jumping straight into book 2 tonight.
The book is not particularly spicy. There is a very spicy scene at the beginning of the book and pretty much a dry spell for all the characters for the rest of the book. 🌶🌶2/5 chilies on the spicy scale.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators are great.
Dual narration, 2 narrators, 5 POVs, first person

I always struggle with the bully trope at first, I am so used to morally grey characters, but I still always get so mad. So here I am with another book by Caroline Peckham and Susane Valenti being all mad until I am completely in love with the story. Once I start reading any of their books I cant set it down until I have absorbed the whole series. Definitely worth the read.
definitely not for everyone but luckily this is right in my niche comfort genre
