I have read this futuristic take on the Cinderella story probably 10 times and will not stop reading it. Every time I pick it back up, I discover more moments that I missed, hinting toward the rest of the series.

Ok. Ok. Ok. We can be calm, we can be-
NOPE. THAT. WAS. AMAZING! LIKE AWSOME! LIKE WHAT?!? HOW? THAT WAS SO GOOD!! What happens to Cinder???

I copied the last thing from the book because just wow
“Soon, the whole world would be searching for her—Linh Cinder.
A deformed cyborg with a missing foot.
A Lunar with a stolen identity.
A mechanic with no one to run to, nowhere to go.
But they would be looking for a ghost.”

WOAH. THIS WAS SO GOOD. I LOVED IT!! Can’t wait to see what roller coaster I go on with book 2!

Fun retelling of Cinderella. Cinderella is a cyborg and a top-notch mechanic living in New Beijing in a dystopian future. It’s a little over-the-top, but it’s still an entertaining, if predictable, read.

I had zero interest in this book. Then I took a closer look at the cover, read the back, and realized that Cinder is a cyborg. I was in. And the story did not disappoint. Cinder is a take-charge mechanic instead of your typical passive fairy-tale female, plus she's funny. There's a plague going around and people with special powers live on the moon. Basically, you won't like this book if you can't handle quite a bit of weirdness. But if you enjoy wacky scifi with a bit of heart, this is a winner.
