This was delightful! Did I guess the 3rd act conflict? Yeah. Was it instalove? Yeah. But this was still so freaking cute and fun (and very Planes, Trains, and Automobiles but make it a romance).

•My Thoughts•
I went looking for a shorter holiday audiobook and this absolutely delivered. The duet narration was a blast and the quirky holiday small towns were fun. I loved the forced proximity during the road trip and their opposites attract dynamic. I did feel like the third act break up was a bit frustrating but it was quick and relatively painless. Overall, this was light and fluffy and full of Christmas fun. It was like a Hallmark movie (no actually so similar to a Candance Cameron Bure hallmark movie but I can’t think of the title) but make it spicy.

🎙️Narration Notes🎙️
Duet narration is truly so fun and elevates any audiobook for me! Lee Samuels and Brooke Bloomingdale did a fine job. They were easy to understand and pleasant to listen to. Solid performance by both artists!

Very cute Christmas romance!

This book gave me so many great feelings and I loved laughing at all of the funny moments between Tessa and Tre. These two are complete opposites and get stuck traveling in a small car across the country to get to their destinations. They make due and come to learn quite a bit about each other. It was amazing how they started to feel towards each other after being complete strangers. There are some definitely funny scenes that involve the detours that Tessa takes Tre on. I loved each and every one, especially the time they stopped in the Christmas themed small town.

The plot twist towards the end threw me off completely! Oh my goodness, I did Not see that coming. Haha. What are the chances of that happening?

I loved the chemistry and attraction between Tre and Tessa. I really liked the epilogue and bonus scene that Piper Rayne had at the very end. It was amazing!

What an entertaining book! The Meet-Cute was memorable and kept me turning pages. Claus and Effect is a book that will make you feel like you are watching a Hallmark movie. Tre and Tessa went from wanting to throw each other off a plane to growing a genuine love connection in a small amount of time. The tension between the two was electrifying and the slow burn was sensational.

The journey that the two characters went on wasn’t only physical, but also emotional and mental. This story reads well and will make you feel good. If you only read one-holiday book this season, then make it this one.

This was the perfect start to my Christmas book binge! I'll be honest, though, I wasn't a fan of Tre at the outset. He was unlikeable, and I worried this book would be difficult to read. Luckily for us, his unlikeable behavior is explained, and he becomes the Grumpy to Tessa's radiant Sunshine.

What starts as an unpleasant flight, quickly becomes a medical emergency landing, which turns into a snowstorm/airport shutdown. This comedy of errors quickly moves to the car rental counter, one car remaining, and neither of our MCs can manage to rent the car on their own. Thus Tessa and Tre begin their road trip.

Tessa is a mess on a road trip, and I love her. She wants to stop to see everything. I can relate. Tre just wants to keep driving. (My husband can relate.) The trouble they get into together makes this book so much more appealing than a simple forced proximity rom-com. They're not only stuck together but then do everything as a team, despite protests (mostly Tre).

When we finally meet the ironic plot twist, I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I felt that this kind of thing only happens to my now-dear friend Tessa. I wasn't a fan of what happened next, but I get it; I got over it...mostly...(notice a missing star). Thankfully we end in beautiful HEA filled with love and family - exactly what I want from my Christmas Rom-Coms.

All I know is that I want to spend my life with someone, and I hope that one day every love song on the radio makes sense and every romantic comedy confirms that my heart is right.

This book was such a breath of Christmas-air and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read it. If you are a fan of sappy and adorable Christmas Hallmark movies, then you will absolutely LOVE Claus and Effect.

Two strangers, entangled together on a cross country trip - what better way to spend the holidays? One is on the road for family, the other is there in search of a love that she hopes will solve her holiday wishes. One is tidy and sticks to a schedule - the other is a complete mess and takes detours to see giant gingerbread houses and eggnog festivals. What could possibly go wrong?

Most of all, I hope I fall hard, and if it breaks me, if he breaks me, at least I'll know I didn't give up.

This book was so cute and sappy that it was hard not to like it! I am such a fun of Piper Rayne's writing now and will definitely be picking more of their work up in the future!

A huge thank you to ValentinePR for the opportunity to ARC read this heartwarming book<3

I loved the banter in this book! It was such a cute holiday book!
