Thank you, Valentine PR, for the advance copy to read!
Super cute and quick! I enjoyed the banter between Tessa and Tre. It was a little bit of an insta-love situation, which isn't usually my favorite, but their dynamic was engaging enough that I could move past it! There were some parts where the dialogue was a little too stiff and formal for the setting, but overall, I really enjoyed reading it! Favorite tropes included enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed, and grumpy/sunshine.

This holiday read is one that is full of funny banter and moments that has me laughing out loud one second to my heart hurting for the characters the next. When Tessa is down and out on a whim and advice from a psychic she heads out to find who she thinks will be her one true love, but what she isn’t prepared for is the chaos this trip is going to bring into her life. Tre is on his way home after spending so much time in the military he is going to see his family and his family are funny and enduring. when he is upgraded on his flight he isn’t ready for the spitfire that keeps him on his toes and for all the insanity that will follow. Fate throws these two in each other’s paths and they embark on a road trip to get to Portland, but the tension between them causes so much head butting that so much hilarity ensues. Tessa is a go with a flow type while Tre is the strict stay the course guy, but they both bring out the best in one another. As the trip continues and they find themselves in all these different situations they band together while simultaneously want to throttle each other and you can’t help but fall in love. Most holiday reads for me are a very cute one time thing to get me in the spirit then I move on to my next read, but this story had me going back to reread it again and again. It was absolutely brilliant and so much fun.

Tessa is on a mission. After closing her bakery she visits a psychic who tells her to go after her man. She assumes it’s the guy she recently dumped so on a whim she decides to travel cross country to win him back. Enter Tre, dark and brooding Army Ranger who is the thorn on her side from the start of the flight. When the two end up having to share a rental car to get to their final destination, they realize they’re into one another more than they originally thought. Will Tessa go for her ex or her new travel partner?

Story: 10/10
Spice: 2/5
Spice Hierarchy: Open Door
After his time serving in the military and missing lots of Christmases at home, Tre is on his way back to Portland. And so is Tessa. But Tessa is on her way to rekindle things with her ex boyfriend; because a psychic told her to find her love out west. After quiet a bumpy start and perfect tension these two are grounded due to a storm. They agree to team up for the last rental car to get them to Portland together. Their trip leads to the most epic humor-filled stops. And of course, change of hearts for both Tre and Tessa.
I loved these characters immediately. Their banter was perfect. The opposites attract was perfect. You could feel them both change their view of the other and it was done so well. Even the building tension was wonderful. The way Tre begins to see and understand Tessa’s approach to life after losing everyone just demonstrated his depth. And Tessa seeing how going home to a loving family (what she has always been wanting) was challenging for Tre. This forced proximity was fast, but not insta-love and I loved that.
I was not expecting that little twist once Tre makes it home!

Very cute! The twist shouldn’t have shocked me, but it definitely did
Thank you for Valentin PR for allowing me to be apart of this tour. This is one book I would not typically go for but since I wanted to try something new, I did have fun reading it. Man, the way it starts off with the snowball effect, I totally felt Tessa in those first few chapters since I have been through a day like that. Nothing going the right way, and trying to keep the best positive outcome of it all. Being a baker with pretty much nothing left, you see why she chased the words or a psychic. Then you have Tre, the military man with family. I love the build up with the two. If you want a sweet little romantic christmas story, I say read this
