Nothing particularly flawed with this read it just didn't do anything for me. The characters were meh (other than Ty, Love Ty.) and the plot was... can I use "meh" again? Ya.. the plot was meh.

5 Falling Stars!

Ginger Scott never ceases to amaze me.
Seriously one of my favorite authors.

Rowe Stanton isn't living. She's been homeschooled the last two years of High School, withdrawing from the outside world.

"Two years ago, I was doomed to never fit in again-like a wounded superhero tattooed by kryptonite."

Until finally she decides she needs a change, she needs to start living again. Off to college a thousand miles away, Rowe hopes to separate her future from her past and reclaim her life. She's just not to sure how to do that.

Until she meets Nate Preeter, freshman catcher on the baseball team. He's everything she wants, but nothing she thinks she can have.

" And it happens all at once-just looking at him, I fall in love. But it doesn't matter-because I can belong to no one."

Rowe is Nate's type in every sense of the word, and everyone knows it especially is his brother Ty. Who by the way is super amazing, and I cannot wait for his book! Rowe captures Nate's attention the very moment they meet.

"This is how a girl steals your heart"

Slowly Rowe begins to open up to Nate, afraid that if he knew everything he would leave. But he doesn't he falls even more in love with her.

"This … is falling."

Nate loves to make her happy, and does everything he can to make her happy. There is no doubt in his mind that she is the one for him.

"This … is love."

But with Rowe's past brings heartache, and guilt, something neither of them are quite sure how to handle.

"Whether I like it or not, I'm competing for the girl I love … with a ghost"

They're love is stronger than ever, but first they must both learn how to fall. How to deal, and how to grow together.

"This is love.

One of my favorite books this year. Ginger Scott knows how to write, and how to make my cry! Good Lord did I ever. Sad tears and then happy tears, the happiest tears during that letter. I have nothing bad to say about this book because it was amazing. Simply amazing, and not a typical topic we see either which was refreshing and new.

DEFINITELY RECCOMEND

This is my 2nd time reading This is Falling and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed it more the second time.

Nate and Rowe....I fell...I fell hard for their story!

Rowe had been through such a tragedy that she had hid away for 2 years of her life...barely even speaking for the first 6 months. After being homeschooled and never talking to people other than her parents, the mailman and her therapist, she ventures off from Arizona to Oklahoma to go to College on her own. Rowe proves herself to be the most courageous girl I've ever known. She freaks out, has many panic attacks along the way, but she keeps going. Amazing! You can't truly even know how amazing without reading the book!

Nate is the most wonderful friend and boyfriend ever!!! He is so patient with her, and all he wants is to make her happy. At first he doesn't know her story, and he doesn't know why she acts the way she does, but he still doesn't run the other way. Then he slowly, piece by piece, along with us, learns the horror of her story and how she is still living with this nightmare. He wants nothing more than to make her smile and to make her laugh.

I love a romance story that has this much depth. This was wonderful! This is the kind of romance story I'd like to see in the movies! If you're longing for a real good romance, I highly recommend this one. Definitely 5 stars.

This Is…A Great Coming Of Age Romance

I’m trying to read the books I’ve had in my kindle forever and this book had been sitting unread since 2017 and shame on me for not reading it sooner as I really liked it. While I like the more angsty reads, I do love a good coming of age romance and this one ticked most of my boxes although the ending left me a bit cold.

This story is about Rowe and Nate who are both Freshman in college in Oklahoma and live down the hall from each other in the dorms. Nate has his future planned out as he’s there to play baseball, get drafted and play in the major leagues one day. Rowe on the other hand isn’t too sure what she wants to major in because she’s just trying to get through the day. Rowe had something terrible happen to her 2 years ago that eats away at her constantly and makes her feel guilty to even be alive. When Nate and Rowe meet, Nate falls hard instantly as she’s exactly his type but because Rowe has some demons to slay they take things slow. This results in a beautiful coming of age story about falling in love, second chances and learning to love yourself flawed or not.

While I really liked this book, I hated the abrupt ending. It’s a happy for now type ending with no epilogue. I felt like both of them had come so far that a sneak peek into their future would have been nice or at least a follow up novella. I will say that I found this book to be a bit unrealistic sometimes when it came to the deep subject matter and their ages. Nate and Rowe are only 18 and it seemed almost implausible that Nate would be mature enough to understand what Rowe was going through. Overall though I really liked this book and really want to keep reading this series especially since the next book is about Ty and Cass whose relationship starts around the same time as Nate and Rowe’s. I’m interested to see how this author will tackle these characters who have a unique set of challenges going on in both their lives.

Nate was divine!

Wow, I mean look at that blurb! Sounds like the perfect New Adult book to me. And the cover is beautiful. This book had so much potential, and I was really excited to get into it. At first, it wasn't that bad. I kind of liked Rowe, she was cute and shy and basically your typical NA heroine. She had just arrived at college and was settling in, getting to know her new roommates. Rowe came across like a little too scared of reality for my taste, and since you didn't exactly know what she had gone through, it was difficult to understand her.

Then one day she worked up the courage to shower in the dorm's public showers despite her fear for.. I don't know, public spaces? Fair enough, the water was running and everything seemed to be going fine. Enter Nate Preeter. Rowe bumped into him in the hallway, just outside the showers, and she was nearly scared to death. I found her very awkward during this meet, and she was seriously panicking over the fact that he was grabbing her panties (along with the other things she dropped) from the floor. Why? It's panties! Every girl wears them! I'm sure even some boys do! Come on.

Nate seemed easygoing, sweet and teasingly sexy. He found her on Facebook and they started messaging a bit. The part where they were getting to know each other was good, well written and kept me interested enough. Their conversations even have made me laugh once or twice. But then it went downhill for some reason, the plot didn't move forward, but rather backwards and I just couldn't bring myself to continue reading. So I didn't.

It's not often I DNF, but I really had to because I was so bored. Bored with Rowe's insecurity, whining, depressing thoughts and tendency to think the worst of everyone. Bored with Nate's obsession with Rowe. Bored with Ty, Nate's brother, trying so hard to be the cool-quirky-guy-who-doesn't-give-a-damn. I WAS SO BORED. Anyone who actually did finish this - feel free to tell me how it ended 'cause I didn't even skip to that part.
