this was an interesting take on fated mates and vampires. I enjoyed it. Especially the characters. The FMC was my fave by far. She was feisty.

We can’t all be Sarah J. Maas.

I liked the first half, but the decision-making got more and more absurd as the book dragged on and Eveline started to profoundly irritate me. I kept hoping her brain would kick back in, but she apparently learned nothing.

Damn angst and cliffhangers! Thank god the next book is out, I would’ve gone crazy! So much tension! It’s a wild ride.

A really good story line with great character development. I struggle when the main characters continue to assume the worst of their love interest when they’ve proven themselves already so many times over. So that made me a little irked with Eva especially at the end. But excited to read the rest of this series!

I read this in one sitting and gave myself a migraine. 6/5. Would do it again.

I enjoyed it. It did feel really long and slow because it was basically all inner monologue between the two POVs; needs a little more to the plot. Left with lots of questions still. Loved the complex FMC and I have the eagerness to find out even more about her. The relationship between the main characters was everything. I love Maddox and how obsessively in love he was with his mate. Abrupt cliffhanger which I honestly expected, but it still sucked. I will definitely pick up book 2 in hopes we get some happiness for our main characters…. please
