Thoroughly entertaining, as per usual.

Reacher novels are slow burning pressure cookers, with the tension mounting for the majority of the book, before unleashing an explosive climax. 61 Hours takes this structure to the extreme. Reacher finds himself on a bus in the middle of South Dakota with a bunch of senior citizens. It’s the dead of winter, conditions are sub-Arctic, and of course there’s a mishap and the passengers are stranded in a small town beset with problems.

Trouble finds Reacher the way iron filings are drawn to an electromagnet. The plot weaves together a beleaguered police force, a federal prison, a biker gang, a mysterious abandoned military facility, a dwarfish Mexican drug lord, Russian drug dealers and a sweet old librarian in witness protection. Not kidding. However, very little happens for the first 350 pages. It’s like riding a huge roller coaster. The slow climb up is tense and drawn out, and then the first drop, which takes us to the end of the book, is a real screamer. I was amazed at how fast the last 150 pages went by, and the end is pretty awesome. If you have not read a Reacher book and this sounds like your cup of tea, dive in. If you like a lot action sprinkled throughout the entire book, you may have a tough time.

I've read this series out of order. This book explained something from a future book. I enjoyed the glimpse of Reacher as a child included in this book.

This was one of the better ones, some interesting characters not just slender strong women who need protecting. Tho acc she did die. Also this writer has a weird twist and seems to like gore which is obvs yucky. Did end on an exciting mystery! Or it would be if there were not 30 books in this series

Джак Ричър в малък град, където има усложнения. Чете се на два дъха.

OK I know that all these books are farfetched and unbelievable but the ending of this one is a huge disappointment. Decent up to that point though so 3 stars.

A good Reacher book! Definitely written for those who are reading in order, because it builds upon snippets of Reacher's past that have previously been revealed, and will be much more interesting for those who are already invested.
