This book had a lot of surprises and the plot was action-filled. The descriptions of the cold are so vivid that I had to put on a jacket while reading!!

This book has made me swear off Jack Reacher books in the foreseeable future. It was similar to some of his previous plots where Reacher, in his roaming the country rather aimlessly and totally unencumbered, finds himself in a small town that just happens to be experiencing big problems with which the local law enforcement folks are having difficulties. He comes in and basically saves the day. In this case, most of the characters are pretty stereotypical and by the end, I really didn't care that much about what actually transpired. Child did leave it as a bit of a cliffhanger so my guess is that there will be a Part 2 to this one - most probably more "hours"... Did I mention that each chapter actually counted down towards the 61 hours when everything was going to happen???
Another good read from Lee Child. A lot of the book felt like lead up and, having gotten to the end, I can understand that. When does 10/19/10 get here? Not soon enough.
