Steamy romance, love - hate relationship, tragic backstories. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't a new concept for me. I liked Braden (very much), and his relationship with Joss. I will probably read the next book out of curiosity.

This was a very yummy read.

ouchie ouch :’) what the actual fuck Samantha

I loved this book so friggen much!!

"What are you having?" He took a swig of water.
He though he was so cool and funny.
"Apparently sausage."

ONE OF MY FAVE PARTS;

" do you want to fuck it out?"
" fuck it out?"
" all the bullshit. What she did. What he did. Every soulless bitch that wanted something from you. "
" are you saying you don't want anything from me?"
" I want this. I want our arrangement. I want you to fuck it out of me. "
" fuck what out Jocelyn?"
" all the nothing. "

My friend has been telling me to read this for, ummm... 2 years. I really loved this book. It’s everything that’s so great about romance books. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

This one is tough to rate. I've read others in the series and really liked some and was kind of meh about others.

This one falls into the meh category for me. I liked the setting and the book is easy to read in that it keeps your interest, but I seriously didn't connect with Jocelyn or Braden.

Of the two I definitely preferred Braden, although interestingly his alpha maleness didn't appeal to me (and I like me an alpha male) I just didn't really connect to him and I think that was a direct result of his love interest. Jocelyn was a headache and I found her really irritating.
I understand she has issues as a result of serious loss, but come on. Get a grip and stop being such a b**ch. She really got on my nerves and her behaviour actually drew me out of the story several times. I didn't sympathize with her and wished I could have just told her to wise up and find some maturity.

Overall and okay read and I enjoy the series so as the first book I thought I should read it.
