This book will warm you up on a cold winter's night. There is not too much to say here for fear of blushing via internet. Never a fan of the romance novel (I read one "bodice-ripper" in high school out of curiosity), this is something completely different. It's exotic, erotic, and sensual, with a really interesting premise. If you're curious, check it out, but be warned there are a few very steamy scenes.

Steamy. A fun, yet sometimes cringeworthy, read.

This book started out really well but I could have done without the role reversal between the lead characters and the sappy stuff...

This is the most piercing work of erotic fiction that I've ever read...not that I've read all that much.

Good concept. Bad writing. Idk how as her vampire and witch books are wonderful.

If you have seen the movie, there is little that stayed the same. There are no cops, the slaves where no clothing and sign a contract and are required to stay the full length of that contract (no matter what). Way more risqué than the movie.

I knew this going in, but was still surprise at how different the book it (and I do not mean that it was more sexually graphic). In the movie, the cop story was a large part of the movie and it is not in the book. This is much more romance. I can also see a lot of Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty series (just much tamer) in this book.

I did enjoy the read, just not what I was expecting.

5th book of iso. This was wack and I kind of loved it. My first erotica, and honestly, a bizarrely interesting book about power, abuse and sexuality. I’ve read some shit over the last couple of weeks- but Rice presents some very subversive views for the time period and the publisher. Not to mention the fact that like Elliot- Rice is aware of what’s happening. She mentions the romantic and erotic ‘canon’ in passing, like she acknowledges that exit to eden is a direct response to the genre. I’ve read a lot of shit over the past 4 days. I’m tired, but this actually made me think about a lot.
