Oh, I loved it. Fun and emotional. The audiobook was so great...between archived interviews and Burnett's narration, it felt like a friend sitting with you and telling you amazing stories.

It was so much fun to read about how Carol Burnett's show came about. I remembered every show she described but she added some details that made me appreciate them even more.

I love the Carol Burnett show, so when I discovered that Carol Burnett wrote a memoir – one of my favorite genres – AND she narrated the audiobook, I immediately went to Amazon to purchase the audiobook.

I wish I could say  that I loved this memoir, but I found myself disappointed with it in the end. Carol Burnett shares a lot of her experiences with the guest comedians on her time doing the Carol Burnett show, but there wasn’t much of a connection with how those experiences impacted her life. I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to get out of the book. I don’t feel like I learned a ton about Carol either.

I will say, I loved hearing her narrate the book. It was also pretty special to have clips of some of the mentioned comedians read a portion of their chapter.

What an amazing life. She was truly gifted in so many ways. She tells of balancing work, home and family. Something that is not easily done. Truly enjoyed reliving her show with each page.

I'm still on my audiobook kick and this was a great book to listen to. I'm not sure it would have been as good without Burnett herself narrating it, and without audio clips of interviews, etc. inserted in. I think if I'd read it in print, it would have kind of dragged a bit, so I definitely recommend listening if you can.

I love Carol Burnett, but have seen very little of her show, since it's next to impossible to find it with the musical acts, but this was still a great read. Burnett has a ton of personality (obviously) and speaks with such love about her show. I really had a lot of fun with this book.

I listened to this book by Carol Burnett. To hear her tell it was such fun. She tells about some of the people that came on the show and how they reacted to all the different setups, props, and interactions that were happening on the set. It's too bad that there isn't a show like this on today. It was good clean, funny, comical TV.

I've been a fan of Carol Burnett since I was a young girl. I have many fond memories of watching her show, and am not really ashamed to say that everything I know about both the film and book versions of Gone With the Wind, I know from her "Went with the Wind" parody sketch. (Don't worry, I'll fix that someday.)

Her previous book "This Time Together" was a look back at her early life and her journey into the world of acting was one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was looking very much forward to this book as it takes a closer look at the time period of her life when she was making The Carol Burnett Show. It didn't disappoint as a vehicle to gain insight into some of the backstage workings of the show as it related to skits. And I was delighted by some of the behind the scenes stories. I did find it somewhat tedious to read through the indepth descriptions of some of the skits that I was very, very familiar with - but I allow that not everyone reading the book will have had the same knowledge of, and memory for, parodies and sketches that occurred many, many years ago.

I was pleased that the audio version included actual audio clippings of previous interviews from some of the stars of the show, including Carol, herself. This is an avenue I think a lot of autobiography/biography via audio usually neglect and it was wonderful to hear it included. In this way the end of the book almost felt like more of a podcast and less like a straight reading of a written book.

Overall, I think that anyone who enjoyed Carol Burnett's show would very much enjoy her look back at this time of her life.

Funny stories about her time on the show. Loved reading about some of the back stage shenanigans.
