I absolutely loved everything about this beautiful story. It centers on Mayumi, a fierce demon slayer who dreams of snuggling up with a giant furry, absolutely fuckable monster at night and embracing her wild domme side. Enter Faunus (aka Kitty), the most beautiful, compassionate, and possessive duskwalker with a heart of gold. Their relationship arc is incredibly engaging and stunning, filled with moments that left me emotionally wrecked. The world-building continues to be unique and immersive, and I am utterly smitten with this series and its stories.

As much as I enjoyed the characters of this book, I felt like the story line was slow, and boring at times. The action, and worry didn't come until around 70% into the book. Don't get me wrong, I was worried the whole time for Fanus and his cracked skull, but it was just a slight worry.
I did like how feisty Mayumi is, but I love that Fanus has enough humanity to give the sass right back to her.

A spicy, heart wrenching tale that kept me on my toes until the very last page. I sobbed, I screamed, I cheered and loved every page.

A Soul to Touch is third book of Duskwalker Brides series and this is a story about a demonhunter, Mayumi.
Mayumi didn't really know what happened when she lost her cat as a kid but it turned out that a duskwalker saved her and because she was looking for her cat the said duskwalker started using the name Kitty. Mayumi renames him Faunus after they meet again after a forest God. She allows him to stay with her because he didn't intend to harm her, and the idea of having a big guard dog sounded far safer to her than some charms.
I loved how protective and jealous Faunus is about Mayumi even when he knew that she could take care of herself but I didn't like how she sometimes used his jealousy against him. Mayumi trusted him the moment he said he were there because he wanted to protect her. I was so sad how he finally got to be with her but didn't think he could get everything he wanted because of what happened to him.
I really liked seeing Faunus with his brothers and I was a little sad there weren't more scenes with them or their mates but I was also glad that Mayumi had other friends. I was so happy to see Faunus mention Fyodor and how much hoped to meet him again. I hope the twins will appear in later books. They seemed so much fun. They just wanted to play with Faunus.
All in all I enjoyed this book but it didn't give me the same feelings as the two earlier books and I disliked how in the last few chapters Mayumi still described him as her friend.
