Wow! Ya know, i always think that the next one can't possibly get better and im proven wrong each time!
The storytelling is so fluid and immersive. I love how unique the characters are in each book.
So im gonna try not to spoil anything!
For book 3 i wasn't exactly in love with the FMC, but thats not a bad thing. The author does a fantastic job of creating very real characters and that means sometimes im not gonna enjoy how they handle stuff lol. She just irked me at points with her attitude but her backstory lets you understand why she is the way she is.
The MMC was wonderful, i loved the duality of his personality. A few times i wanted to shake some sense into him lol. To see how they grew together throughout the story was very satisfying.
As always the smut is TOP TIER monster lover gold.

the duskwalkers are always incredibly well characterized but omg, this one was especially fantastic! loved the dynamic between mayumi and faunus, i think it’s my favorite so far!

This book is by far my favorite book of the series! Opal Reyne shows us pain, heartache, and loss but also romance, love, and fighting for the people you care about. Kitty is a character that came into play in book 2 of this series. I was worried to see how his life would continue after learning information about him in the second book. Mayumi is a badass demon slayer that Kitty has watched over the years after meeting one time I in the forest when she was a child. Mayumi is so careless and reckless it made me laugh at all the things she put Kitty through. I was so glad to read an HEA because these characters went through a rough experience to be together. Also, the smut in this book was so much more than the first two books and I was here for it. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and I hope the Mavkas can come together and defeat the Demon King because he just keeps becoming more of a problem in each book.
