Mercury by Amy Jo Burns is a very complex story of Joseph's family, a family of roofers living in the small suburbs of Pennsylvania. A general fiction that reads like literary fiction with a mystery, this book is a very character driven story. The Joseph's family is held together by Elise, a wife and a mother. Enters Marley into the mix, and the whole dynamics changes. She becomes an integral part of this family, but for better or worse?

Honestly, I was not sure at the beginning of my reading if I would like this book, but I devoured this book. Every character of this story is well developed, and though their actions seem very skewered, initially, it makes total sense once the story comes together. If you love complex family stories, this book is totally up your alley. The expected publication of this book is January 02, 2024.
