I always like stories with a bit of mythology thrown in, especially Hades and Persephone. This story went for a bit too long but was still a good read.

So, the sequel. You'd think it could only get better but nope, it doesn't. The writing style is still very reminiscent of a 14 year old's first foray into self-insert fanfiction - which is a perfectly valid writing style and we've all been there, but it has no place in published novels. Admittedly, the hyperboles were worse in the first book, but the second one still is too fast paced in how the relationships delevop. It tries to pawn it off on time moving differently in certain places, but that can only account for so much.
The main love interest turns into a complete dick instead of actually explaining anything. Meanwhile, the main character meets a new guy who's just such a sweetheart and of course she starts falling for him (this is, after all, Twilight but make it Greek demi Gods instead of vampires and werewolves). The ending of this book could make you think that the trilogy is going to end in a poly triad but I don't think that's going to happen given how absolutely straight and monogamous the story has been so far.
So, my main gripe with this book (which is also a gripe with the first instalment) is that relationships just develop so fucking fast that it just makes no sense. I'm more than happy to believe in love at first sight but that's supposed to be a rare, special occurrence, instead of happening to every single character. The main character talks about her love interest(s) and new friends as if she's known them for ages, but it has been no more than 2 months in-verse.
Anyway, I know I'll listen to the third one as well because I do want to know how this all ends, but I need everyone to know that this trilogy is bad and it does a disservice to actual Greek mythology and Hellenism, and is also not even a little bit diverse. Everyone's white, everyone's cis, everyone's straight. If you needed any more proof that this was written in the early to mid 2010s, this is it.

So I enjoyed reading this book (even tho I liked the first one better)
1) But am I the only one who ships her more with Orion? Idk I’m used to ship ppl who everybody has am other opinion but I can’t be the only one?
He so charismatic and idk not boring? He has a story to tell und I enjoy reading the parts where he was in it. But like it’s pretty obvious that Helen is going to end up with Lukas.
2) Claire and Jason are so annoying I can’t amd why is every friend of Helen together with a Delos?! That’s so weird
3) HECTOR WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT HIM?!?
Yeah anyway I’m looking forward to read the last part

The beginning of this book was a little confusing, but as I continued to read the storyline straightened itself out. I ended up really enjoying this book.
