This is the 2nd book in the villain series. It is basically the same story as Disney's but with how the Prince was turned into the Beast and the three horrible sisters having a lot to do with all the evil. I feel that Serena Valentino did a great job incorporating her vision into the one we all grew up on.

More time was spent on the witches than on the beast and Belle. Disappointing.

I loved the first book in this series. It brought an extra layer to the Villain. As this was not the case in this book, I was dissapointed with how this story of the Beast continued.

First of all I already found it weird that we would get a backstory of him. He was a brat, he got cursud for it. That didn't change at all and he turned out to be an even more spoiled brat.

On top of it a big part that was told was the movie but then with some extra perspecitves on it. Even that did not make me excited about the story.

What I did like about it is how it made references to other stories so it alle matches togheter. The Evil Queen was mentioned as was Charming and Ursula.

So I hope book 3 will be better. Hopes on Ursula.

I really really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I couldn't thanks to atrocious writing and horrible descriptions and overall terrible plot. It would take pages and pages to explain everything this book did wrong. I read the two previous books of this 'series' and like those but this one is by a different author and I think that was the problem. I am intrigued by how it was tying this story to others especially since it made it seem like we will be getting one about Ursula from the Little Mermaid, but I hope it will be by a different author and make more sense. I must admit I enjoyed parts of this story, but overall I feel it could have done a lot better. Like a lot. Man I wish this was a good book...
