This was the most political Meg Cabot book I've read. Since I like her for her writing and not her politics, I wasn't thrilled by it.

This book definitely was not as good as the first one. Basically, the entire story was just whether or not they should have sex. That overshadowed any other storylines or character growth.

This book, though it is a sequel to All-American Girl which is aimed at very young adult, has much more adult or at least older YA themes. Throughout the book, Sam struggles with whether she wants to have sex with her boyfriend. This is a quick and enjoyable read. I just love Meg Cabot and this is another great book of hers.

Samantha Madison continues to live her life, after saving the president and going out with his son. David, the president's son, invites her to spend Thanksgiving with his family at Camp David, where she believes they will have sex for the first time. On top of deciding whether or not she is ready for this step, Sam must deal with the issues of her part-time job and the life drawing classes she is taking.

I wasn't wowed by the book. I found it boring and Sam was annoying. She was just running around in her own little head, making up these nonsensical notions about the people in her life. The main character was simply too hard to connect to. I will not give this to a young teen, because there is strong sexual content.

Call me a cheeseball, see if I care, but I love Samantha Madison. She's so oblivious and such a mess, but she's a hilarious mess and never fails to make me smile with her antics. This was exactly what I needed.

this book is really good! i read it in a day i loved it so much. the first ones equally good.
