I liked this book at first, the spicy one night stand, the chemistry, the great bff, it had all the makings of an amazing book. But dear Lord, Bristol, the FMC, was freaking annoying and so immature! Like come on, this woman whined and complained the entire time and she was so hypocritical! I wished these two would’ve actually gotten to know each other because it really seemed like they were more sex focused instead of being emotionally invested in each other. Dakota and Braxton were super cute together and I’m not a big fan of Hannah.

I did like this book and read it pretty fast but at parts I felt myself scanning instead of reading and at some parts pretty repetitive . In the end her ex asked for an open relationship she said yes and then was upset he didn’t want to be exclusive I get that because it’s easy to fall for someone in those situations but was she really so surprised and to have to leave your whole life behind to get away from the state he lives in I would think you would want to more get rid of hockey not really Connecticut. I do like age gap but it really was more brushed over then really there and he kept having to be convinced to go back to her instead of being with her . It was so hypocritical of him to want her to heal herself when he couldn’t heal his own self. In the end I’m happy the way they end up together but I hate he proposed at dakotas wedding that’s a no for me lol

Maddox Sterling is your next book boyfriend. This man will give you multiple Os, have you blushing with his dirty mouth, while also instilling you with confidence and insisting you only deserve the best. Maybe more of a book husband actually. I love the dynamic between Maddox and Bristol in that they push each other’s buttons, but they also bring out the best in each other. Bristol’s best friend Dakota is a romance author, which was a fun touch. The tension between the main characters, the spice, the interesting side characters, the great writing, and interesting story line all make this a high recommend for me.
