Holy smokes Batman! What a read! This is a DARK ROMANCE story (check those trigger warnings) that follows Fox who was born into the dark world, with the secret society that no one is safe from she seems to be to unlucky one. Thorne, Ben and ky, are there to show her just how unlucky she is! This is my first time reading this author and I’m loving her writing style so much! She has gone above beyond everything I thought this book was about! So good!

Note: This review is long overdue because I got stuck. Starting at around chapter 50 it became hard to read. I put it down at 59 on 3/18 and didn't pick it back up again until 5/21. I was reading during that time - I read more than 20 other stories - so it was this story.
3⭐️ 5🌶️
MOOD: dark, emotional, tense, mysterious
TROPES: enemies to lovers, kidnapping, forced proximity, marriage of convenience-lite
GENRES: dark romance, contemporary, why choose/reverse harem, lgbtq+
FAV QUOTE:
MAIN CHARACTERS: Foxglove "Fox" Noire, Thorne Calliano, Kyron "Ky" Harris, Raven "Ven" Flannaghty
UNPOPULAR OPINIONS:
1. Name characters what you want to name them. 3 out of 4 of the main characters having nicknames feels ridiculous; especially since Fox also gets pet names from the 3 guys and then gives them each a pet name.
2. Fox is not a character, especially in the middle of the book, she's a plot device.
3. The book would have been more interesting if it was just Thorne, Ky, and Raven.
THE GOOD: The spice. All of it. All the scenes. It's literally the only reason I kept reading BUT
THE NEUTRAL: because of that the book is too long. I get it, to fit in more spice you need to have a longer book that but makes it nonsensical. There is a lot of travel back and forth for absolutely no reason. They're at a house. They go to an island. They go to the house. They go to Noire house. There's a sex club. They're at a cabin. It's a lot of pages for minimal plot.
THE MEH: Pretty much the unpopular opinions I mentioned above. There are certain points where it just absolutely makes no sense how Fox reacts especially in the middle with some of Thorne's decisions. It really does feel like the 3 guys were written first - they are the more interesting characters and it's their plot and then a female character was thrown in to move the story along.
CW from the author: death of parents/sibling, death, blood, kidnapping, torture, suicide, child abuse, sexual assault, guns, FMC drugged, explicit sex
DISCLAIMER: I received an advance review copy. This is my honest review.

Received as an ARC in return for my honest review.
I was privileged to be a member of the ARC team for this book. All I can say is to check ALL trigger warnings before reading!
This is a dark book set in a dark underbelly of the world. There is a lot of trauma for each character and forms of trafficking that will be uncomfortable for readers. The spicy scenes relies heavily on dom/sub relationships involving humiliation tactics. Not for everyone.
That being said, I loved this book. Each character's personality is fully fleshed out with detailed backstories. I would have liked to see a little more fight in Fox toward the beginning and have her challenge her captors more. There were some great twists and turns towards the end that had me audibly voicing my concerns, surprise, and frustrations which made for interesting reactions from others in the room with me.
I felt like underneath the darkness and spice the theme of thought I found was deep. What would happen if you grew up in a dark and dangerous world, used and abused? Would you still believe in love? Would you be capable of receiving love and returning it? And what would that type of look like?
I loved the notion that despite Fox feeling ashamed and "dirty" by her feelings towards the depraved situations she is in, these men teach her how beautiful she is in these states and there is no shame in what all of them are experiencing. I thought that was a pretty special and beautiful thing for them to find.
This was a great read and I recommend to those who can read without being offended because this book is like diving, not into the deep end, but into the darkest reaches of black ocean at night. Happy reading!

What a wild ride.
Time and time again, I keep getting surprised of how many different emotions I can feel during a book. The emotional rollercoaster I went through while reading this book was insane. Hate, disguist (I actually felt sick a few times), anger, adoration, sadness, straight up sorrow... All of it I could experience in this book.
I felt the writing was consistently good through out the whole book, and the plot was easy to follow. The story was thought out and clearly effort was seen with world building.
The plot twist had my head spinning and I did gasp out loud a few times.
Spice in this book is the most spice I've read so far, heart throbbingly hot and definitely made me blush.
True rating 4.5

It’s an uneven book.
Fox is the heir of Noire House who is a facade for trafficking and child abuse (TW +).
Thorne, Ky and Ven want to take this House down.
The beginning (a long beginning, until 40%) was sometime rushed or obvious or cliché, it bothered me a bit. It’s predictable. Like paved with lights.
Until this 40% or so, there’s smut here and there. Sometimes it just feels thrown in the middle of the story.
Nevertheless the spice is good, really good actually.
(Except for the Daddy kink that came out of nowhere - but if you are up to it, you’ll be served).
Fox is a really funny FMC.
The banter is perfect.
And once you’ve passed the middle of the book, it becomes interesting. It’s like all the pieces of the story are coming into place.
And finally, the last plot is actually 🤯
