This was a fun hockey romance and I’ll for sure continue the series! I loved Vince. He was sweet and thoughtful and filthy and what else do we ask for in a fictional man????

I did snort multiple times at the names bc the last names are actual hockey players and I thought that was very funny to do. The guys on the hockey team were really fun and I am curious where everything goes for everyone!

I mostly enjoyed the romance between Vince and Maven! Maven just really rubbed me the wrong way. For the first bit of the book she’s EXTREMELY judgmental and self righteous and it gave me a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t love her flip flopping and she was kind of shitty toward Vince at times when he was trying to be genuine and show her that he wasn’t who she had judged him to be.

It still was a fun read but I’m hoping the other fmcs will be more enjoyable for me!

This was my first book by this author, and it didn't disappoint.

Maven works in social media and has been hired to document every aspect of the new hot shot rooky Hockey Player, Vince Tanev's, life for a month. This includes moving into his apartment. If that wasn't already a bit awkward, she hates him because she thinks he is stereotypical as "rich prick." She couldn't be more wrong. I fell in love with Vince Tanev hard and fast. Despite being a slightly cocky pro hockey player, he is incredibly sweet! Maven projects her feelings towards her ex, who was also a pro athlete, onto Vince. Despite her clear distain towards him, Vince falls for Maven fast. The more she seethes at him, the more he wants her.

I could not get enough of these two and their banter. This is a slow burn, but the sexual tension between these the characters was hot. Once that tension finally breaks, it was epic. The smutty scenes in this live in my head rent-free. There is a scene in front of a mirror, on a weight bench, while making pottery...not to mention Tanev has a mouth on him and calls Maven Pet (pants). However, don't worry, she gives it as good as she gets it and makes him say please.

I really liked the side characters and look forward to their books!

I took off some points because Maven started to annoy me. She needed to let her shitty ex go and realize how amazing of a guy Vince was. He was top-tier book boyfriend level.

This was the first time I listened to a book narrated by Edward Black or Megan Wicks. They were both fantastic, and I hope I come across books they have narrated again!

OMG Vince Tanev is on a whole other level! I'm a sucker for a good hockey romance and I am so excited for this new series. Vince and Maven have such amazing witty banter and it continues into their spicy scenes - which are HAWT btw. I love how Maven is so confident in who she is and fits in seamlessly with Vince's team. Vince is thoughtful and had me blushing one second to giggling the next. And because Vince wasn't swoon-worthy enough, he also makes pottery and has his own wheel/kiln in his home so we get some hot hot hotttt pottery making scenes. Trust me, you will not be disappointed by this book!

i don’t like how he grabs her face. or makes her jealous for what!?! also how she was stuck on her ex for 80% of the book. also anal? what’s looking for that! low 3 - 2 stars

Another awesome sports romance from Kandi!
This may be my favorite book she’s ever written!

Maven has been tasked with managing social media for Tampa’s newest hotshot hockey rookie, Vince. At first, she think he’s like all the other rich athletes and can’t stand him. He thinks she’s gorgeous and he wants her. The forced proximity and the steam was so good. The moments when they would get jealous were so hot. Loved how Vince understood Maven had been hurt before and he was patient. The conflict was short and resolved easily. I’m already excited for the next in this new hockey series!

Check this out in KU now!
