Another great Kandi Steiner book!!! The only reason this is four stars because Maven really needed to get it together and trust Vince. I was annoyed about that aspect of her going back and forth but I love Vince and I am dying for the next book because Grace and Jaxon

Maven had sworn off all "Rich Men." They are from a different world than the one she was raised in. She is more down to earth and loves giving back to those with less in life. Her parents are missionaries, and instead of following their steps, she gives back in different ways. One of the ways she gives back is through her job. Except her manager tasked her with following around a star hockey player she couldn't care less about for a few months.

Vince knows that he wants Maven. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever met, but she has a problem with him, and he can't quite figure out what it is. The more time the two spend together, the more Maven realizes that the Vince she sees in front of the camera is not the same one she sees behind closed doors. But the question is, can she move past her past trauma and step into the light with their relationship?

Honestly I couldn't stand Vince. I found him really immature almost the entire time. It really frustrated me when he seemed to get all butt hurt when Maven couldn't see him differently from other rich guys after she had explicitly told him about her ex. It seemed like Vince didnt do anything to change her mind except wait...he didn't set out to prove he was different...he just waited for her to see. I was really hoping for him to find ways to prove he was trustworthy...instead at the slightest hint of jealousy he set out to make her jealous by letting 2 girls dance up on him. ...like how is that proving he's better than her ex?! And since when is fighting jealousy with jealousy the way to go?! Immature. Also, he called her a bitch in the beginning. Immediately no.

I wish we had seen more growth from him. He was SO cocky in the beginning and it lessened a bit but he needed to be brought back down. I realize hes a good player but he realizes he's playing a TEAM sport right?! I wanted to see a lot more growth from him in this area.

Finally, the intimate pottery science grossed me out. Simply wiping clay off your hands is not enough.. please wash your hands with soap and water before sticking them in someone!

The guy kinda gave me red flags and I just didn’t like him.
