4 Stars - I love Kandi's writing style and really enjoyed her first hockey romance. I will definitely continue reading this series.
There were so many amazing tropes in this one with the enemies to lovers turned friends with benefits, he falls first, hockey romance, workplace romance (she's assigned to promote him on social media for his rookie season), and forced proximity.
I did love the premise of this book and am always a sucker for a hockey romance. Vince is all-in and Maven is apprehensive due to a past relationship and being so career oriented. She also experiences some confidence issues / imposter syndrome with being a social media influencer - the negative comments as we know can get to a person! Vince has to work pretty hard to convince Maven otherwise that she is "safe" with him.
All in all, the spice was great but for whatever reason I didn't LOVE/become obsessed with this book but as always with Kandi's books, I do recommend it!

I don’t have words to review this book because phenomenal. This was my first Kandi Steiner read and it has led me to place many of her books on my TBR list. Hockey Romance trope is always the best

I honestly could not wait for this book to be over I felt like it kept dragging towards the end. This was okay, the spicy scenes gave what needed to be given but some of the writing felt overly cheesy and unrealistic and Maven couldn’t stop thinking about her ex??? Eh

Honestly so good. I love Kandi Steiner books and she just took her normal fire and then added hockey, which is pretty much like saying ”here hold my beer”.
This book delivers in the swoon and the spice. The friend group is amazing and I can’t wait for their stories. Vince is a dream. He’s just such a catch.
The only thing that sort of bugged me is Maven’s anti rich folks, not that in general but how she talks like it’s all but is friends with Livia.

this is actually my first book of kandi’s and i cannot wait to start the red zone rivals series soon. this book had a nice balance of hockey and romance. is it just me but i actually do find the sports talk in books interesting
Steamy, love the characters, and yet another hockey romance to be obsessed with! Kandi Steiner hits the target again with another fantastic sports romance! Can’t wait to dive into the next in the series!

Yeah, them getting together is basically a walking red flag. They should definitely steer clear.
